Tool Testing Station K 50 R

The compact tool testing station K 50 R was developed so that all important geometry data of very small multi-toothed drilling and milling tools, such as, for example, dental cutters, can be checked cost-efficiently, easily and quickly. The measurement of the cutting angle is carried out according to a patented measuring principle, without having to separate the workpieces or making an assessment using a complex 3D-measurement system. In only one clamping operation

and, additionally, front rake angle and diameter can be checked and measured.

The high-precision workpiece holder can hold shanks of 1.5mm up to 13mm in diameter.

Manual profiling and dressing machine with 5 axes up to Ø 500mm
The 100-times proven dressing machine K 45 C is the flagship in the fleet of high-performance dressing machines by KIRNER. This robust and manually operated precision machine is perfectly suitable for dressing or profiling of large diamond and CBN-grinding disks of different shapes and specifications, this up to a diameter of approx. 500 mm. Also larger upon request.

Custom-made accessories ensure the best adaptability to your individual dressing task. In construction of these machines high requirements with regard to dimensional accuracy of wheel angles and wheel contours, prerequisite for the best grinding results, were taken into account.

K 43 C

Manual profiling and dressing machine with 5 axes up to Ø 350mm
The newly developed dressing machine K 43 C is a compact, manually operated precision machine for the dressing or profiling of diamond and CBN-grinding wheels of different forms and specifications up to a diameter of approx. 350 mm.

In construction of these machines, high requirements with regard to dimensional accuracy of disk angles and disk contours, prerequisite for the best grinding results, were taken into account. So on the K 43 C, for example, convex radii with only 50 µm can be continually set into the workpiece disk using SiC-disk.

Toolgrinding K 366 CNC for Dental Burr

All standard and special dental and medical tools as well as industrial burrs with a head diameter of up to 8 mm can be manufactured with high precision and entirely automatically on the extremely compact tool grinding center K366 CNC.

The KIRNER propriety 6-axis kinematics with dominant swivel axes is unique in the world and offers decisive advantages in the grinding process. The integrated pallet loader allows for the shortest production cycles while operating with extreme reliability. More than 2000 work pieces can be stocked.

Decades of know-how in the production of CNC-controlled tool grinding machines, paired with the demands of leading tool manufacturers led us to this machine – the K 366 CNC. Along with the modern Siemens PC control systems and digital drive technology, the guarantors for an optimal grinding result in record time include the precision linear guides and precision bearings, particularly the high-torque direct drives in the rotary axes. The degree of automation achieved for the complete tool run – together with the latest generation of hardware and software – shortens the cycle time, the decisive step for a fast return on investment. The K 366 CNC machine can accommodate up to 4 grinding wheels with a maximum diameter of 100 mm. No matter what you want to grind, much can be completed in just one clamping.

Thanks to the new setup program, the machine can be programmed very easily. The parameters of your grinding machine are set in a logical sequence and the operator can achieve the desired setup with only a few entries. The control system handles the rest. Plausibility and safety checks as well as the optional integration of a presetter, a flange detection system or a barcode scanner greatly increase the setup efficiency and reduce the error potential. The pallet loader fully integrated in the CNC, the propriety KIRNER 6-axis kinematics and the integrated CCD camera simplify the complete setup process significally. This makes even small batches attractive!

Our market known grinding center K360HS was developed further specifically for the medical tools. A setup program guides you step by step through the setup of your work piece. The change of mechanical parts is a „plug and play“. The grinding wheels are measured using a presetter. This meant that the setup time can be shortened to 10 minutes!

With our optimized 6-axis kinematics, many shapes with radii are ground highly effective because of the grinding point is not left. Radii are mapped by a rotary axis.

In our grinding software KIRNER BURRSoft ® a 2D simulation is already integrated. The flute calculation in KIRNER BURRSoft ® produces sharp teeth in the area of the small radius and a very nice transition into the area of the large radius.

All parameters can be adjusted graphically supported individually. The optional 3D simulation creates a very precise model of the removal.

The K 360 HS is controlled using the SIEMENS 840D (SL). The main rotation axes are moved energy-efficiently and highly dynamically using high-torque direct drives. The grinding software developed by us is very well-equipped and allows you to develop perfectly the complete range of various burr shapes as well as associated tools.
The palletizing loading robot ensures the shortest workpiece change time and operates extremely reliably. The obtainable grinding cycle times are among the best in the world.
